Haughton Academy planned Catch-Up Premium expenditure 2019-2020
The ‘Catch-Up Premium’ fund is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support those pupils who join secondary education without achieving a level 4 grade in English (Reading) and / or Mathematics.
Schools can use this additional funding in a variety of ways with the purpose of ensuring that these pupils are given the very best possible opportunity of ‘catching up’ quickly and not falling behind their peers.
The allocation of the Catch Up Premium fund is an additional £500 per student who did not achieve a level 4 grade in English (Reading) and / or Mathematics. (Please note that a student will not receive allocations for both English and Mathematics if they were below a level 4 in both. The maximum the school will receive for each student is £500)
All schools are required to report on the amount of funding received and how this is being used. Once information is available, the impact of the funding will also be reported.
For the last academic year, Haughton Academy received £16,162 (provisional) in Catch Up Premium funding to support students in catching up to their peers in English and/or Mathematics.
