Welcome to Community Engagement
At Darlington Education Village we understand that for our young people to reach their full potential and get maximum enjoyment out of their education, we need to work closely with our parents / carers and wider community to support the work of the school.
The important role community engagement and cohesion plays in the performance and development of a school is not only recognised by the leadership team and governors here at the Education Village but by the Department or Children Schools and Families (DfCSF), Ofsted, the National College for School Leadership and many other statutory and non statutory bodies. If we are to truly mould and shape future generations of young people to be the well educated good citizens of the future, we must work with parents / carers, local communities, health and social services, employers, the voluntary sector and the further education sector benefiting from the involvement and support of all.
The Education Village has developed a series of relationships and support services which we feel can add real benefit to school life and support our teachers and students to achieve the best they can.
The pages within this section of the website give more information on the work of the community team within the Village, the successes to date, projects ongoing and areas for future development.
We are very keen to engage with parents / carers, individuals or organisations that can help us in our ambition to make the Education Village a high achieving, caring and supportive place for young people and the wider community to learn, achieve and enjoy.
