YEAR TEN HAUGHTON ENERPRISE TEAM won over a Dragon’s Den panel of judges with their exhibition of contemporary artwork at the annual Enterprise Challenge last night.
It is the second year in a row that the school has won the prestigious event hosted by Duncan Bannatyne to incite young and budding entrepreneurs to succeed in business.
The aptly named Grey Away business exhibited EV Art to local businesses aimed at reducing stress in the workplace, thereby increasing motivation. This concept won the attention of Mr. Bannatyne who was even interested in the idea for himself.
Katherine Humpleby, event coordinator for the school, said; "They were truly stunning in front of a Dragon’s Den Panel of four judges and over 200 people at the Dolphin Centre. Mr Bannatyne was very interested in our business for his chain of hotels."
The artwork which will be showcased around the Education Village earned the Enterprise Team a prize cheque of £1000 and a second trophy to add to their collection.
