Haughton Netball Battle at EV

Years 7 and 8 played Longfield last night here at the Education Village.

The Year 7 girls won 14 - 0. This is a fantastic result, with the team scoring more than a goal a minute!

The Year 8 girls played and won 9 - 2. After a tense start the girls worked hard together to take the lead. There were some fantastic interceptions from Katie Duncan and Toni Elsby.

The Yr 7 girls 5-a-side team came second in the Darlington Schools 5-a-side football competition. It was a home tournament and all schools attended. The team were unbeaten in the prelim rounds beating Branksome, Longfield and Hurworth. The Final was a very close battle. Hummersnott took the lead and the EV was awarded a penalty. However we were denied a late equalizer by the post on the final whistle.
