Covid-19 update

Please find below the most recent Covid-19 information.

The Government rules on self-isolation have changed from today - Monday 17th January.

From Monday 17 January 2022, people who are self-isolating with Covid-19 will be able to reduce their isolation period after 5 full days, if they test negative on a lateral flow device (LFD) on both day 5 and day 6 of their isolation period and they do not have a temperature.

For pupils, this means that from Monday, if they are self-isolating because of Covid-19, they can take a test on the morning of day 5 of their self-isolation period and the morning of day 6, and if both tests are negative, they can return to school immediately on day 6.

The Government recommends that the first test must be taken no earlier than day 5 of the self-isolation period and the second must be taken the following day.  All tests should be reported to NHS Test and Trace. If either test is positive, pupils should continue to self-isolate until they get negative results from two LFD tests on consecutive days, or until they have completed 10 full days of self-isolation, whichever is the earlier.

If pupils are unable to take LFD tests, or they are still symptomatic (e.g. they have a temperature), they will need to complete the full 10-day period of self-isolation. We will continue to monitor the Government's guidelines and will update you on any changes.  For further information please follow the link:

Other measures may also be in place in specific settings, such as one-way systems for circulation around the building and staggered timings for lessons, breaks and lunchtimes.
