Aut2 JED (Job Explorer database) Day - All form groups will be given an hour in LRC to explore different jobs and career paths. 2

To give pupils the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers paths and roles within different industries to suit them.

Aut2 Grofar - Will create an online profile to highlight their experiences and skills.  3 Pupils will start to think about their own personal skills and qualities and how they can relate these to particular job roles and careers.
Aut2 Newcastle University Visit - Centre for Life Raise aspirations to all learners, show opportunities  and life in a university and also experience STEM activities to raise aspirations. 6

Pupils have the opportunity to learn how the different STEM subjects help people to gain entry to, and be more effective within, a wide range of careers. To give pupils the opportunity to explore a wide range of careers paths and roles within different industries to suit them. Also, to raise aspirations by visiting a university campus.
Spr1 Drop down day - What’s my Job 5 Pupils will have the opportunity to explore a number of job roles, while meeting with employees from a wide range of industries.
Spr2 Careers Fayre - Whole year group to spend an hour in hall speaking to a wide range of providers. 3

Pupils will work on their financial capability, looking at budgeting, income and outgoings while developing skills such as teamwork and communication skills.

Newcastle University Graduate Workshops - Pupils will take part in workshops built around various subject areas to develop their skills in group tasks and relate their classroom learning to the world of work.

It is important that pupils have “meaningful encounters” with employers, and this exercise allows pupils to meet with professionals and ask questions about the industry they work in and what job roles are available.

TBC EE Project - A group of pupils will work with professionals from EE, over a 6-session project to design and create their own advert. 5

Pupils will work with professionals from EE to learn about job roles available and create their own advert for working at EE. Pupils will also visit EE to get real experiences of the workplace.
