“We make IT happen.”
Our intent is to equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. With deep links with mathematics, science, media and design and technology we provide insights into both natural and artificial systems, that allows our pupils to develop the foundations to enable them to be discerning, life-long learners in a fast moving world.
The Department has three dedicated ICT teaching rooms each equipped with 32-networked PC computers, a colour laser printer, a computer projector, an interactive whiteboard with speakers and wireless access points for BYOD. We pride ourselves as being a very popular, friendly, hardworking department that ensures our pupils receive high quality, vibrant lessons where they learn and thoroughly enjoy Computing and ICT. With a mutual respect and outstanding relationships between staff and pupils.
Computer Science is a progressive, supportive subject which aims to provide pupils with the skills required to interact with the modern world. This is a very important subject as there are very few jobs that have not been affected by the introduction of computers and ICT in all its aspects.
