At Education Village we aim to ensure students enjoy their physical education lessons by providing exciting and challenging lessons that enable them to progress as performers and learners.

We teach to enable students to achieve to the best of their sporting potential and always try to inspire students to try a variety of different sporting activities. The department promotes student aspirations through PE and Sport to ensure students have a vision and a pathway through our subject. We aim to provide our students with as many opportunities as possible through both curriculum time and extra-curricular clubs.

The Physical Education department has five full time members of staff, and support from 2 swimming specialists.

PE facilities at the Education Village are excellent, and include:

Throughout key stage three students are timetabled 3 hours of PE a fortnight, while at key stage 4 students complete one hour of core PE per week. The department also offers a number of qualifications at key stage 4:

PE kit is required for all lessons and should include a grey jumper, grey t-shirt, black shorts/tracksuit bottoms and a pair of trainers.
