Data Protection and Freedom of Information

Freedom of Information and Data Protection

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 is clear that public authorities, including Multi Academy Trusts (since January 2011) should be clear and proactive about the information they publish and make public.

EVAT’s Publication Scheme is set out in the Freedom of Information Publication Scheme available on our Policies and Procedures page. The Publication Scheme is in line with the model scheme for schools approved by the Information Commissioner. It explains:

  • The type of information we publish or intend to publish
  • The manner in which the information will be published; and
  • Whether information is available free of charge or on payment
